Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 16 will feature a completely new story and a cast of characters. The new characters will be joined by familiar spirits, creatures, and monsters from previous franchise entries. There isn't much information available about the upcoming game right now. Final Fantasy XVI will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive

Final Fantasy XVI will be released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, according to Square Enix. According to the studio, it will be the most visually stunning Final Fantasy game yet. 

Final Fantasy 16

It will feature, like most other Final Fantasy games, a new cast of characters in a new world with many familiar faces. Naoki Yoshida, the director and producer of Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, is in charge of the game's production.

During its reveal, Square Enix released a trailer titled Awakening, in which we learned that the game will revolve around Joshua, the bodyguard of a special child who is the son of an Archduke and appears to carry the spirit of a familiar summon or Eikon within his body. It was also revealed that, following some major trauma, Joshua will lose control and lead an epic battle between Phoenix and Ifrit.

The trailer also showed us two summons, Titan and Shiva, as well as a number of other familiar creatures.

The game will take place in Valisthea, a world with six major factions: the Grand Duchy of Rosaria, the Holy Empire of San Breque, the Kingdom of Waloed, the Dhalmekian Republic, the Iron Kingdom, and the Crystalline Dominion.

Characters

Clive Rosfield, Joshua Rosfield, and Jill Warrick are among the main characters who have already been revealed by the studio.

Is the game going to be released on the Xbox platform?

According to reports, the game will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 for at least six months, after which it may be released on other platforms such as PC and Xbox. As of now, there are no confirmed plans for the game's release on other gaming platforms from the developer.

When will it be available?

The game's release date has yet to be announced by Square Enix. However, we anticipate that the company will release more information about the game later this year, with reports indicating that it will be released by the end of this year or early next year.
