This revised area, located between Mine and Ruins, now contains the remnants of Serpentine creatures from Kong: Skull Island. The Runway, Peak, and Lagoon have all gotten some cosmetic and structural upgrades.
Call of Duty: Warzone, a free-to-play battle royale game, is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A version for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S has been announced for 2022, with a mobile version also in the works.
In other developments, legendary musician Snoop Dogg debuted in Warzone on April 19, along with a new "Bong Ripper" sniper gun and other cannabis references.
Activision has banned about 20,000 Call of Duty: Warzone players after detecting a popular trick. According to Motherboard, Activision took action against users of a specific trick known as EngineOwning, including a well-known Twitch streamer who was banned in the middle of a game.
In an effort to reduce cheating on PC, new free-to-play gamers must authenticate their accounts by SMS. Activision said earlier this year that it has blacklisted over 70,000 Call of Duty: Warzone cheaters.
"We take all forms of cheating extremely seriously, and keeping a level and fair playing field for everyone is one of our top goals," the publisher stated. "We've been implementing account bans since the first day Warzone was released."
