Epic Games and Lego have collaborated to create a metaverse for children

Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite, and Lego have joined up to build a metaverse for children. "The family-friendly digital experience will provide youngsters access to tools that will empower them to become confident creators and create fantastic play opportunities in a safe and positive setting," according to the official statement.

When it comes to creating a virtual environment that offers exciting play opportunities while being secure, the two firms have agreed to focus on three concepts. These three principles are as follows:

• Protect children's right to play by prioritising their safety and well-being.
• Protect children's privacy by prioritising their best interests.
• Give children and adults tools that allow them to regulate their digital experiences.

According to The LEGO Group's CEO, "kids like playing in both the digital and physical worlds and transition smoothly between the two."  For the uninitiated, Epic Games removed the most prominent building characteristics from Fortnite's newest season. While it was only a prank at first, the developer has now made it official with the addition of Zero Build mode. The new Fortnite mode is a combat-focused alternative in which players can collect resources and construct defensive fortifications.
